Charles Hoots

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Charles "Chuck" Hoots, son of the late Donald Hoots and Janet Thompson Pender, was born Dec. 25, 1967, in Chaffee, Missouri, and departed this life on Thursday, Dec, 17, 2020, at his residence in Chaffee at the age of 52 years.

Chuck loved to fish, hunt arrow heads, spend time with his children, and making people laugh. He could talk your head off, and he never met a stranger.

Apart from his mother, Chuck is survived by a stepfather, Richard Pender; daughter, Carly Hoots and boyfriend, Derek Cagle, of Scott City; son, Devin Hoots of Cape Girardeau; ex-wife, Carole Hoots of Cape Girardeau; sister, Lori Rhodes of Dallas, Texas; special friend, Joyce May of Chaffee; and many other friends and family.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
