ADVANCE, Mo.-- Charles D. Hawkins, 69, of Advance died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born March 15, 1938, at Brownwood, Mo., son of Charles A. and Lula Kirk Hawkins. He and Yolande Foland were married June 26, 2004, in St. Louis.
Hawkins was a 1956 graduate of Advance High School. He was a foreman with Missouri Highway Department in Advance 35 years. He was a member of Elks Lodge in Dexter, Mo., and Advance Eagles Aerie.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Vince and Jeffrey Hawkins of Advance; a sister, Bonnie Harmon of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
