The funeral for Charles E. Decker of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Decker, 70, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 20, 1932, in Anneta, Ky., son of Carl and Pearl Vincent Decker. He and Ethel Ritze were married July 17, 1952, in Arkansas.
Decker worked at Union Electric 34 years, retiring as supervisor in 1991.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Chuck Decker of Cape Girardeau, John Decker of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Linda Goldman of Clermont, Fla., Sandy Schlick of Cape Girardeau, and Pam Young of Jackson, Mo.
Also surviving are four sisters, Ruth Benefield, Elizabeth Stearns and Virginia Varner, all of Louisville, Ky., Mildred Decker of Leitchfield, Ky., four brothers, James, Ray, Terry and Clyde Decker, all of Leitchfield; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
