Charles F. Crole, 93, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Jackson Manor. He was born April 14, 1919, in Jackson, son of Silas and Mamie Bauer Crole. He and Anna Teasley were married in 1970 in Marble Hill, Mo. She survives. Crole was a cattle farmer who enjoyed working on tractors and taking drives throughout the countryside. After retirement, he worked part-time as a custodian for St. Paul School. ...

Charles F. Crole, 93, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Jackson Manor.

He was born April 14, 1919, in Jackson, son of Silas and Mamie Bauer Crole. He and Anna Teasley were married in 1970 in Marble Hill, Mo. She survives.

Crole was a cattle farmer who enjoyed working on tractors and taking drives throughout the countryside. After retirement, he worked part-time as a custodian for St. Paul School. 

In addition to his loving wife, survivors include: a son, Mark Keene of Afghanistan; a grandson, Michael Keene of Lexington, Ky; and a granddaughter, Lauren Keene of Bowling Green, Ky.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Margaret Billingham and Maxine Gladfelter. 

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
