COBDEN, Ill. -- Charles M. Boes, 78, of Cobden died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born Dec. 23, 1919, at Brazil, Ind., son of James Douglas and Irene Foster Boes.
Boes was a veteran of World War II. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a half brother, Curtis Boes of St. Louis; three half sisters, Esther Matlock and Oretha Miller, both of Cypress, and Pauline Boes of St. Louis; and his close friend and companion Velmer Farris of Cobden.
Friends may call at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. DeWayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery, with military honors at the grave by the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW in Anna.
