MORLEY -- Funeral service for Charles Edward Basinger of Morley will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Lee Fansler will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.

Friends may call at the chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Basinger, 42, died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997, at his home.

He was born March 3, 1955, at Sikeston, son of Delbert and Ida Ellen Jackson Basinger. He and Bernice McCoy were married Aug. 25, 1994, at Matthews.

Basinger was a farmer and had been a deliveryman with Turner Dairy 20 years. He attended Blodgett Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Aundrea Freeland of the home; three brothers, Carl and Allen Basinger of Sikeston, J.D. Basinger of Canalou; five sisters, Mae Stokes, Wanda Hinshaw and Mary Vinson of Sikeston, Ola Poley of LaForge, and Shirley Wallace of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
