MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Charles D. Angel, 76, of Marble Hill passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2016, at his home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Bessville, Missouri, son of Marion Washington and Loretta Lodema Barks Angel. He and Vivian Newell were united in marriage July 7, 1962.

Angel worked as a crane operator for the American Car Foundry and was a member of Marble Hill Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Angel of the home; a daughter, Rita Angel of Marble Hill; brothers John Angle of Scopus, Missouri, and Tom and Tim Angel, both of Marble Hill; and a sister, Phyllis James of Marble Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles S. Angel; a brother, Ray Angel; and a sister, Faye Giddens.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with Kelly Francis officiating. Burial will be in Cook Cemetery near Scopus.
