MARBLE HILL -- Celesta P. Fisher, 84, of Marion, Ill., died Monday, March 20, 2000, at Marymount Manor in Eureka.
She was born Feb. 17, 1916, near Glen Allen, daughter of George F. and Ida Mae McGregor Eaker. She and Bryce R. Fisher were married July 14, 1940, near Lutesville. He died Sept. 7, 1994.
Fisher was a former public school teacher. Formerly of Marble Hill, she started the Sunset Florist, which she operated many years. She and her family were involved in Ford dealerships in Lutesville, Sikeston, and at the time of her death owned Marion Ford Motor Co. in Marion.
She was a charter member of New Horizons General Baptist Church in Marion. She had been active in various church-related youth groups during her life.
Survivors include a son, Robert Don Fisher of Marion; a daughter, Judy Fisher of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Verlee Eaker, a nephew, officiating. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
