Cecil J. Wamble, 90, of Detroit, Mich., died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, at his home.
He was born April 24, 1909, at Dexter, son of Joseph and Mae Gibson Wamble. He and Gladys Ross were married Dec. 1, 1929, at Dexter.
Wamble moved to Detroit in 1937 from Dexter. He was a baker with Taystee Bread Co. from 1937 until retiring in 1971.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Franklin Wamble of Detroit; three daughters, Pauline Turowski of Dearborn Heights, Mich., Glenda Boyd of Lincoln Park, Mich., JoAnn Patrick of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 1-8 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The Rev. Phil Warren will officiate. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
