OAK RIDGE, Mo. -- Cecil George Sauerbrunn, 76, of Oak Ridge died Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Feb. 12, 1924, in Olmsted, Ill., son of William and Lora Duerckhimer Sauerbrunn. He and Doris Brown were married Sept. 21, 1946.
Sauerbrunn retired from Cape Girardeau County Highway Department in 1989. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Richard Sauerbrunn of Jackson, Mo., Ronald Sauerbrunn of Oak Ridge; two daughters, Jo Ann Petzoldt of Oak Ridge, Ruth Sauerbrunn of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Wilma Bailey of Galesburg, Ill., Freda Shafer of Olmsted; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by five brothers.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Jon Sedgwick will officiate. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery near Oak Ridge.
