WAPPAPELLO, Mo. -- Cecil L. Holman Sr., 72, of Wappapello died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007, at Puxico Nursing Center in Puxico, Mo.
He was born June 1, 1935, in Lamar, Ark., son of Wallace Lawson and Bessie Maude Sweeney Holman. He and Ruth Ellen Goehman were married July 13, 1962, in Mounds, Ill. She died Feb. 27, 1999.
Holman was a retired truck driver with Essex Gas Co. of Bridgeport, Texas. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Chaffee, Mo., and Wappapello Eagles Aerie 4066.
Survivors include seven sons, Michael Holman of Springfield, Mo., Cecil Holman Jr., Chris and James Holman, all of Wappapello, Stoy Holman of Longview, Texas, Roger Holman of Turnertown, Texas, Joe Holman of Chaffee; two daughters, Gayle Holman of Springfield, Lynn Rockett of Sedalia, Mo.; a brother, Glen Holman of Wappapello; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
