Cecil L. Davis, 92, of Janesville, Wis., died Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Mercy Hospital.
He was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Jackson, son of John W. and Anita C. Loos Davis. He and Geneva Moore were married July 29, 1938.
Cecil farmed in Rock County near Janesville and then was employed 23 years in the office at JATCO, retiring as assistant director of safety personnel. He was a member of First Baptist Church, member and past master of Janesville Western Star Lodge 55, member and past patron of OES Chapter 69.

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Geneva Davis; three children, John W. (Kathy) Davis of Fort Wayne, Ind., Anita L. Davis (Richard) Markley of Beloit, Wis., Cecil R. (Linda) Davis of Janesville; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, David.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at First Baptist Church, 3414 Woodhall Drive, Janesville.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
