OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Cecil Carner, 71, of Olive Branch, died Tuesday, April 21, 1992, at his home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1920, at Jonesboro, Ark., son of Curtis and Zella Martin Carner. He and Mary Clutts were married March 31, 1978.
Carner was a member of Alexander Free Will Baptist Church, Olive Branch Chamber of Commerce, Olive Branch Cemetery Association, and was president of Happy Hour Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Lucille Masterson of Olive Branch, Carolyn Denton of Cairo, Mary Kaufman of Thebes; two stepsons, Kenneth Calvert of Olive Branch, Terry Calvert of Royalton; three stepdaughters, Sharon Ruff of Beale Air Force Base, Calif., Sherri Marlo of Westhampton, N.J., Angela Calvert of Royalton; two brothers, Howard Carner of Norman, Ind., Henry Carner of Odessa; a sister, Ethel Newman of Tamms; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and two great-stepgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Alexander Freewill Church. The Revs. Taylor Coursey and Charles Horton will officiate, with burial in Olive Branch Cemetery.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms after 4 p.m. today, and after noon Friday at the church.
