MORLEY -- C.B. Taylor Sr., 72, of Morley, died Tuesday, June 15, 1993, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born March 23, 1921, in Henderson County, Tenn., son of Andrew Coleman and Beulah Belle Laster Taylor. He and Hazel Lee Hensley were married March 22, 1940, at Caruthersville. She died Feb. 3, 1992.
Taylor was a self-employed farmer, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Morley Baptist Church, Morley VFW Post 5368, and Morley Masonic Lodge 184. He served in the South Pacific with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include six sons, Colie Jr., Richard, Keith and Kenneth Taylor of Morley, Clinton and Jimmy Taylor of Sikeston; three daughters, Roxanna Boley of Dover, Ark., Lesa Reeves and Teresa Conn of Morley; a brother, Jack Taylor of Caruthersville; two sisters, Ann Ragan of Cleveland, Miss., Edith Taylor of Independence; 28 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, a grandchild and great-grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Morley Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden, with military graveside rites.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston after 5 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
