SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Catherine Corene Thompson of Scott City will be held at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Jack Owens will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel after 10 a.m.
Thompson, 62, died Monday, Feb. 16, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 7, 1935, at Illmo, daughter of George Nathan and Stella Mae Holder Dodson.
Thompson had been a waitress.
Survivors include three sons, Kirk Brom of Simi Valley, Calif., Phillip Thompson of Cape Girardeau, Norman Thompson of Virginia Beach, Va.; two daughters, Deanna Hargrove of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., Sheila Thompson of Simi Valley; a stepdaughter, Clary Thompson of Perryville; a brother, Emory Dodson of Scott City; four sisters, Mary Pulliam, Alice Moore, Margie Keller and Patty Dodson, all of Scott City; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
