CAIRO, Ill. -- Catherine Mattingly, 93, of Cairo died Sunday, Nov. 19, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born March 27, 1902, at Breckinridge, Ky., daughter of Worland and Kate Thompson Carter. She and George D. Mattingly were married. He preceded her in death in 1967.
Mattingly was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo.
Survivors include four daughters, Catherine "Katie" Cave of Cairo, Martha Mattingly of Tamms, Ill., Ann DeHaven of Cape Girardeau and Mary George Lee of Tampa, Fla.; a son, George A. "Happy" Mattingly of Cairo; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Rosary will be recited at 7 at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Villa Ridge, Ill.
