Catherine Korando

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Catherine D. Korando, 53, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Festus, Mo.

She was born July 3, 1949, in Red Bud, Ill., daughter of Robert Jess and Ila Jewel Warren Asher. She and Robert J. Korando were married Jan. 31, 1972.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Misty Korando and Laura Korando of Perryville; four sisters, Rita Brewer of Red Bud, Glenda Boudindick of Freeburg, Ill., Helen Mahner of Arkansas, Violet Pointer; a brother, Robert "Bobby" Asher Jr. of Waterloo, Ill.; a half brother, Ivan Rettinghouse of Prairie de Rocher, Ill.; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4:30 to 9 p.m. today, and Friday after 6:30 a.m.

The funeral will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in St. Marcus Cemetery in Red Bud.
