Catherine Farris

Catherine J. Farris, 71, of Randles died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born in Morley, Mo., on April 8, 1940, to the late Fred Durell and Gladys Griswell Bickings. She married Bill Farris on July 25, 1959.

Catherine was of the Baptist faith.

She worked as a machine operator for the International Hat Co. in Oran, Mo. She retired as a machine operator at Columbia Sports Wear Co. in Chaffee.

Catherine is survived by her husband; two sons, Fred (Jeannie) Farris of Randles and Bill (Ellen) Farris of Delta; three brothers, Charles (Barb) Bickings of Plainwell, Mich., R.B. (Diana) Bickings of House Springs, Mo., and Rick Bickings of Alto Pass, Ill.; one sister, Wanda Burns of Sikeston, Mo.; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Revs. Don Leggett and Keith Prise officiating.

Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Mo.
