PERRYVILLE -- Catherine C. Besand, 83, of Perryville died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at Perry County Memorial Hospital at Perryville. She was born Oct. 15, 1916, at Biehle, daughter of Louis and Elizabeth Wirth Clements. She and Conway Besand were married July 22, 1943. He died Nov. 26, 1984...

PERRYVILLE -- Catherine C. Besand, 83, of Perryville died Saturday, April 8, 2000, at Perry County Memorial Hospital at Perryville.

She was born Oct. 15, 1916, at Biehle, daughter of Louis and Elizabeth Wirth Clements. She and Conway Besand were married July 22, 1943. He died Nov. 26, 1984.

Besand was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include a daughter, Deloris Ellerbeck of St. Louis; a son, Delmar Besand of Perryville; three brothers, Wilbert and Kelly Clements of Biehle and Oscar Clements of Perryville; a sister, May Probst; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today and from 6:30-8:35 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel. Parish wake service will be at 6 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
