SEDGEWICKVILLE -- Carroll Lynn Cook Sr., 65, of Sedgewickville, died Tuesday, April 13, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Bollinger County, son of Amaziah and Dicey Fulton Cook. He and Lannis "Kitty" Young were married May 5, 1954, in St. Louis.
Cook owned and operated a service station in Spearman, Texas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Cook was a life member of Cape County Chapter 16 Disabled American Veterans, life member of First Marine Division, member of Marine Corps Association and Little Whitewater Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Steven and Carroll Cook Jr. of Sedgewickville, Michael Cook of Ira, Texas; two daughters, Cindy McConnell of Jackson, Melinda Graves of Pollard, Ark.; two brothers, Loy and Huey Cook of Sedgewickville; four sisters, Ailene Loos of Cape Girardeau, Wilson Douglas of St. Louis, Beatrice Green of Patton, Ina Rhodes of Sedgewickville, and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Little Whitewater Church. The Revs. Don Estes and Daniel Hale will officiate, with burial in Pulliam Cemetery in Bollinger County.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 6-8 p.m. today.
