PUXICO, Mo. -- Carrie Walker, 93, of Puxico died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Puxico Nursing Center. She was born June 21, 1907, at Brownwood, Mo., daughter of George and Elizabeth Stewart Carlton. She married Orville Walker Feb. 27, 1926. He died July 4, 1987...

PUXICO, Mo. -- Carrie Walker, 93, of Puxico died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Puxico Nursing Center.

She was born June 21, 1907, at Brownwood, Mo., daughter of George and Elizabeth Stewart Carlton.

She married Orville Walker Feb. 27, 1926. He died July 4, 1987.

She had lived in Puxico all her life. She was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church near Puxico.

Survivors include four sons, Lester Walker of Malden, Mo., Freeman Walker of Bloomfield, Mo., George Walker of Puxico and Orville Walker Jr. of Barnhart, Mo.; a daughter, Connie Marquis of Puxico; a brother, Leroy Carlton of Fresno, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Marty Blakey will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
