WILSON CITY -- Carrie Pollard, 102, of Wilson City died Friday, Oct. 31, 1997, at her home.
She was born Dec. 25, 1894, in White Station, Tenn., daughter of Robert and Betty Nickle.
Pollard lived in Missouri most of her life. She was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Wyatt, and its Mothers Board and Friendly Sisters Organization.
Survivors include three sons, Murial Emmerson of Chicago, Robert Emmerson of Wilson City, George Emmerson of South Bend, Ind.; five daughters, Geraldine Vann of Cairo, Ill., Betty Peoples of Columbus, Ohio, Jessie Jackson of Chicago, Ruby Bankhead of Madison, Ill., Carrie Clark of Union Church, Miss.; a sister, Katie Lyles of Buffalo, N.Y.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at noon Saturday at Holly Grove Church, with the Rev. T.R. Tyus officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.
