BERNIE, Mo. -- Carolyn Westphal, 66, of Fairview, Mich., formerly of Bernie, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at Mercy Hospital in Grayling, Mich.
She was born March 1, 1934, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of Howard R. and Virginia C. Williams Hill. She had been married to Bill Blevins. She married Francis Westphal, who died in 1996.
Westphal was owner and operator of Blevins Hair Fashions in Pontiac, Mich., many years. She operated A New Image Salon in Fairview the past 20 years.
Survivors include three daughters, Lois Blevins of Waterford, Mich., Margaret Bigham of Howell, Mich., Sharon Tocco of Wyandotte, Mich.; a son, Benjamin Blevins of Indian River, Mich.; a sister, Nellie Brown of Campbell, Mo.; three brothers, Leon and Donald Hill of Bernie, Carl Hill of Cape Girardeau; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, and two brothers.
Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie after 9 a.m. Thursday.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bernie Cemetery.
