BELL CITY, Mo. -- Carolyn Schaefer, 71, of Bell City passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at the family home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Feb. 2, 1946, in Rockview, Missouri, to George and Betty Jane Moit. She married Cleo Schaefer on July 10, 1965, and he survives of the home.
Carolyn was a homemaker in her own home. She was a member of Chaffee, Missouri, VFW Post 3127 and American Legion Post 389. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially playing bingo.
She is survived by her husband, Cleo Schaefer of Bell City; two sons, Cleo Schaefer Jr. of Bell City and Arthur Schaefer of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Robin Romanowski of Hutto, Texas, and LaRee Faye Schaefer of Pflugerville, Texas; her father, George Moit Sr. of Benton, Missouri; a brother, George Moit Jr. of Benton; a sister, Teresa Jackson of Hayti, Missouri; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jane Moit, and her sister, Betty Sue Moit.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
