Carolyn Sue Poe, 61, of Jackson died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 25, 1941, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of Cletis O. and Myrtle Goode Gilles. She and Ronald Poe were married Dec. 31, 1957, in Cape Girardeau.
Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Ladies Altar Guild, and Jackson Noon Optimists.
Survivors include her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald W. and Rhonda Poe II and their son, Rodney, of Cape Girardeau; a daughter and son-in-law, Robyn and Bruce Taylor of Scott City; and her father, Cletis O. Gilles of Cape Girardeau.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother and a grandson, Ryan Wayne Poe.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association or St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund.
