Carolyn "June" Kelley, 84, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at Landmark Hospital.

She was born June 30, 1938, in Sedgewickville, Missouri, to the late Everett and Rita Looney Linebarger. She and Curtis "Skip" Kelley were married Nov. 6, 1955, in Jackson.

June grew up in Sedgewickville and graduated from Jackson High School in 1955. She married Skip that same year. June worked as a bookkeeper for several companies, including Yellow Cab Co. and Boy Scouts of America, but she enjoyed working for Blair Industries the most and from which she retired.

Skip and June had five children. She was a dedicated mother to them as well as her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Kelley of Cape Girardeau; and two sons, Chris (Julie) Kelley of Cape Girardeau and Sean Kelley of Harrisburg, Illinois. She is also survived by two sisters, JoEllen Schneier of Cape Girardeau and Judith Fawley of Kogge Falls, Ohio; as well as 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

June was preceded by two sons, "Skipper" and Jeff Kelley.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Short officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
