CAIRO, Ill. -- Carol Jean Murry, 76, of Rockford died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford. She was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Cairo, daughter of Benjamin and Odessa Hagey Carr. She married Ernest "Tip" Murry, who died in 1990. Murry was a member of the Lutheran Church...

CAIRO, Ill. -- Carol Jean Murry, 76, of Rockford died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at St. Anthony Hospital in Rockford.

She was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Cairo, daughter of Benjamin and Odessa Hagey Carr. She married Ernest "Tip" Murry, who died in 1990.

Murry was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Burgess of Glendale Heights, Carolyn Markov of Lombard; a son, Ronald Murry of Belvidere; a sister, Mary Henry of Garland, Texas; and a grandchild.

There is no visitation.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds. Dr. Larry L. Potts will officiate.

Barkett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
