Carol Hurte

Carol Hurte, 52, of North Augusta, S.C., died Friday, June 29, 2007.

She was born in Jackson. She was a secretary for Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta for 25 years. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, the Victory Baptist Church Choir and was the coordinator for the nursery and the young adult choir.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Hurte; her father, the Rev. Donald Sander of Millersville; two daughters, Becky Townsend and Katie Hurte, both of North Augusta; three sisters, Kathy Westcott of Cape Girardeau, Cheryl Fortner of Gordonville and Marydawn Hunt of Millersville; three brothers, Mark Sander of Marble Hill, Mo., Tim Sander of Potosi, Mo., and Scott Sander of Millersville.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Joyce Turner Sander.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Victory Baptist Church, 620 W. Martintown Road, North Augusta.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Victory Baptist Church with Dr. Larry Brown officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Langley, S.C., is in charge of arrangements.
