Carol Ann Miner Farrar passed away at her son's home in St. Charles, Mo., on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1936 in Endicott, N.Y., to Ernest Miner and Marie McCarty. Carol was raised in Cape Girardeau by Ernest and Frances Miner.
She graduated from Cape Central in 1954.
Carol worked at the downtown Woolworth's, the former Grant's store, Leon's Upholstery and Sander's True Value in the Town Plaza.
She is survived by her son, Bill, of St. Charles; sisters, Carolyn (Del) Goodrich of Ormond Beach, Fla., Jean (Calvin) Nelson of Pickens, S.C., Mary Miner of Tyler, Texas, Nancy (Lester) Wright of Jackson, Marge (Les) Allen of Nichols, N.Y., Dr. Helen Miner of Tyler, Texas, and Flossie (Tom) Leggett of Cape Girardeau; family friend, Todd Vono of St. Charles; and many extended family members.
There were no services.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
