COBDEN, Ill. -- Carol A. Etzkorn of Cobden died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 8, 1952, in Tiffin, Ohio, daughter of Harland and Doris Etzkorn. Etzkorn was a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. COBDEN, Ill. -- Carol A. Etzkorn of Cobden died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 8, 1952, in Tiffin, Ohio, daughter of Harland and Doris Etzkorn.

Etzkorn was a graduate of Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. She was a staff horticulturist at the Anna Nursery for more than 20 years.

Survivors include her companion and friend, Bill Berkheimer of Cobden; her parents, Harland and Doris Etzkorn of Collins, Mo.; three brothers, Larry Etzkorn of Springfield, Ill., Jack Etzkorn of Lockport Ill., and Glen Etzkorn of Guthrie, Minn.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden, with the Rev. Richard Ryman and friends officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home in Cobden from 1:30 p.m. Saturday to the funeral hour. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery in Union County.
