Carol Faye Collins, daughter of Ella Mae Beklund Menz and the late Tony K. Menz, born June 25, 1942, in Arbor, passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, in her home in Delta at the age of 77 years. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Carol was co-owner and operator of Knight Oil Equipment, Quality Air Compressor and Carol's Bar and Grill for over 30 years. She came out of retirement to work for Manpower On-Site at Procter & Gamble for over seven years and went on as a consultant and office manager for Bud's Air Compressor Service for two years.
Carol loved dancing, and besides her family, having fun was a priority. She has been best described by those who love her as a fun-loving, feisty women who loved life.
She is survived by her mother, Ella Mae Menz; her daughters, Becky Collins and Tammie Collins; son, Ervin (Bud) Collins Jr.; five grandchildren, Chas Collins, Casey Beal, Chelsey Collins, Jordy Collis and Cody Collins; three great-grandchildren, Mizah Harris, Aden Cameron and Carter Collins; a very special friend and caretaker, Sheila Kittrell; four sisters, Brenda Brown (Ernest), Donna Hobeck (Dale), Mary Jo Barlow (Clifford) and Penny Coomer (Jack); a brother, Ronnie Menz; and also by many nieces and nephews, and her little dog, too, Tucker.
Survivors also include Mr. and Mrs. Kevin James and three children and Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Wayne Collins and two children.
She was preceded in death by her father, Tony K. Menz, and two sisters, Evelyn Waddle and Peggy Coomer.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating.
