DEXTER, Mo. -- Carma Reiker, 90, of Dexter died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Cypress Point Nursing Center in Dexter.
She was born Aug.1, 1927, in Advance, Missouri, to Haggai C. and Vanira Crockett Adkins. She and Bill Reiker were married Oct. 4, 1946, in Cape Girardeau.
Carma graduated from Cape Girardeau Central High School in 1944 and attended Southeast Missouri State University.
She was a member of First General Baptist Church, where she volunteered as the pianist and organist.
Carma was a commercial traffic editor at KFVS. She was also a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her son, Jim (Tania) Reiker of Dexter; a daughter, Sue Reiker of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Thomas Reiker of Washington, D.C., Abigail (Cliff) Coppenbarger of Valdosta, Georgia, Katie Reiker of Cleveland, Tennessee, Sam Reiker of St. Louis and Jonah Reiker of Dexter; and a great-grandchild, Libby Coppenbarger of Valdosta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
