Carla Jean Huffman, 58, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born April 17, 1964, in Aurora, Illinois, daughter of Edward R. and Nancy J. Boyle Stoudt. She and Paul A. Huffman Sr. were married Aug. 28, 1999.
Carla worked alongside her husband, Paul, in their auto parts business for 25 years. She was very strong-willed, which helped her in defeating her battle with cancer. Carla was active in the community, often doing charitable deeds and act of kindness for others. Most of all, she loved to be with her children and grandchildren.
Loving survivors include her husband, Paul Huffman Sr.; three children Connie (Jesus) Hurtado of Chicago, and Renee (Tim) Dickerson and Michele Wahl, both of Chaffee, Missouri; and three stepchildren, Paul A. Huffman Jr. of Alaska, Paula K. (Chuck) Reed of Blodgett, Missouri, and Edward Huffman of Oak Ridge.
Also surviving are her father, Ed Stoudt of Oak Ridge, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Carla was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Stoudt; brother, Joseph Stoudt; and a stepson, Lonnie R. Huffman Sr.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of service Friday, Oct. 21, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Casebolt officiating. Interment will follow in Caney Fork Cemetery near Oak Ridge.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to Alzheimer's Association or Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
