ADVANCE -- Carl Winford Carlton, 63, of Advance died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 28, 1928 in Advance, the son of Robert "Bob" and Stella Pixley Carlton. He was a retired boilermaker, Union Local 27 of St. Louis. He was a member of the Eagles in Sikeston and had been an active member and trustee of the Advance Eagles for six years...

ADVANCE -- Carl Winford Carlton, 63, of Advance died Thursday, Dec. 10, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 28, 1928 in Advance, the son of Robert "Bob" and Stella Pixley Carlton.

He was a retired boilermaker, Union Local 27 of St. Louis. He was a member of the Eagles in Sikeston and had been an active member and trustee of the Advance Eagles for six years.

Surviving are one brother, Homer Jean Carlton of Vista, Calif.; and his fiancee, Janettie Speer of Advance.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Virgil Bunch of the United Methodist Church in Advance officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery.
