ADVANCE, Mo. -- Robert "Carl" Robins, 78, of Advance passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 24, 1932, at Lutesville, Mo., son of Luther and Amy Louise Hensley Robins. He and Lessie McIntosh were married Oct. 14, 1971, in Corning, Ark.
Carl was a graduate of Advance High School. He was a rural mail carrier. He was a lifetime member of VFW and charter member of Advance Eagles.
He was a veteran of the Korean conflict, serving in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Larry Joe Robins of Collinsville, Ill.; and a host of other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Tom and John Robins.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eric Shrum officiating. Burial will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
