JONESBORO, Ill. -- Carl Raines, 88, of Jonesboro died Thursday, March 11, 1999, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
He was born Nov. 4, 1910, in Kewanee, son of John and Nora Book Raines. He first married Mary Bishop in 1933 in St. Louis. She died in 1972. He later married Helen Lindsey Nov. 13, 1983, in Las Vegas, Nev.
Raines had been a boilermaker. He was a member of Jonesboro Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Raines of Casper, Wyo., Robert Raines of Sikeston; two daughters, Loretta Pentor of Casper, Dianna Lowrance of Baycliff, Texas; a stepdaughter, Jean Sarsany of Witt; 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jonesboro Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Gerald Green officiating.
Funeral will be Tuesday at Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Casper, with burial in Casper Memorial Garden Cemetery.
