Carl Murray, 45, of Jackson died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 22, 1966, in DeKalb, Miss., to Robert and Isbell Grady Murray. He and Ladonna Ragle were married July 28, 1989.

Carl was a member of Cape First Church. He owned and operated a cleaning business in Cape Girardeau.

He is survived by his wife, Ladonna of Jackson; a son, Jared Murray of McClure, Ill.; a daughter, Gabrielle Murray of Jackson; a stepson, Carl (Dana) Sims of Shreveport, La.; two stepdaughters, Kendra Davis of Bossier City, La., Steffanie (Allen) Jiles of Shreveport; three grandchildren, Rylan, Nissa and Wyatt Murray; six stepgrandchildren, Magen, Blaine and Ryann Davis, Ashley Sims, Krista Shockley and Kaylan Jiles; his mother, Isbell Murray of DeKalb; three sisters, Shirlane (Jesse) McDade of DeKalb, Vineolor (Lewis) McWilliams and Mayolor (Winfred) Clemmons of Philadelphia, Miss.; two brothers, Sherman (Hazel) Murray of Philadelphia and Fredrick (Tracy) Murray of DeKalb.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Robert Murray, and a brother, Leon Murray.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park, with Gary Brothers officiating.
