ADVANCE, Mo. -- Carl "Sour" LaCroix, 84, of Advance died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, in Muskogee, Okla.
He was born Nov. 6, 1922, at Advance, son of Charles Henry and Ruth Margaret Davis LaCroix. He and Betty Jenkins were married March 18, 1951. She preceded him in death Feb. 28, 2001.
Sour was a graduate of Advance High School. He retired after 28 years with Elfrink Truck Lines in Advance. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, helped organize the Advance Volunteer Fire Department, was a former president of the Lions Club and Crowly Ridge Country Club, and was an avid golfer.
Survivors include a son, Steve LaCroix of Muskogee; a brother, Stephen Davis LaCroix of Jacksonville, Ill.; a sister, Verma Tippett of Boise, Idaho; and a grandson, Jeffery Carl LaCroix of Muskogee.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Joe LaCroix; and a sister, Mary Jane.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Dohogne officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park.
