Carl Lawrence Mosby, 84, 305 Hillview, died Wednesday, March 25, 1992, at his home.
He was born March 11, 1908, in Fayette County, Ill., son of Andy and Stella Hicks Mosby. He and Helen M. Nance were married June 14, 1941, in Cape Girardeau.
Mosby owned and operated Mosby Garage in McClure, Ill., many years. For 30 years he was an independent LP gas distributor in McClure and Olive Branch, retiring in 1975. He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1978 from Olive Branch.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carlyn Knight of Collinsville, Ill.; three brothers, Merl Mosby of Harrisburg, Pa., Kenneth Mosby of Fremont, Calif., Gerald Mosby of Lady Lake, Fla.; two sisters, Audrey Walker of East Alton, Ill., Fern Hotlick of Anna, Ill., and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
