ANNA, Ill. -- Carl A. Hubbs, 86, of Anna died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna.
He was born on Nov. 17, 1917, at Anna, the son of William Walter and Annie Belle Johnson Hubbs.
He married Mary Rendleman on Aug. 2, 1941. She died on Jan. 5, 2004.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Anna, Anna Lodge 520 AF and AM, and the Anna Eastern Star Chapter 522.
He was a retired electrician and had worked with Cunningham Electric for 30 years. He was a member of IBEW for over 50 years. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He served as an officer in the Air Force Association.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Westbrooks of Anna; a sister, Cora Goddard of Schaumburg, Ill.; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Besides his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters and a half sister.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and on Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna until time of service.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Tim Sadler will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery with Air Force military honors.
