GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- Carl Mann Greer, 72, of Grand Chain died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 9, 1928, at Malden, Mo., son of Carl and Lucille Riggins Greer. He married Joyce Roof.
Greer was owner of A-1 Roofing and Siding Co. He was a merchant marine for the U.S. Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Sylvia Marlow of Rockford, LaQuita Hunt of Cypress; four sons, Gary Greer of Symsonia, Ky., Ronnie and Carl Greer Jr. of Karnak, Jimmy Greer of Grand Chain; two sisters, Betty Pierce of Rockford, Pat Clark of Pamona, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and nine stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak from 6-9 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Flo Patrick will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery at Belknap.
