Carl E. Taylor, 76, of 1105 Linden in Cape Girardeau died Saturday, July 20, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born March 31, 1915, in Wayne County, the son of Ezekial L. and Sarah Elizabeth Lane Taylor.

He worked for several years for Federal Materials Co. in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a daughter, Esther McGruder of Louisville, Ken.; a brother, Shade E. Taylor of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Olive Taylor of Cape Girardeau and Ruth Taylor of California; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The Rev. Collie Shirrell will officiate, and burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
