SCOTT CITY -- Carl Eugene Anglin Sr., 59, Scott City Route 2, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 1993, at his home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1933, in Thebes, Ill., son of Chance and Dixie Hill Anglin. He and Bettie Hilliard were married March 5, 1959.
Anglin was a truck driver with PJ's Trucking at Fruitland. He was a member of American Legion Post 0900 of McClure, Ill. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carl Anglin Jr. of Spartanburg, S.C., Charles Pittman of Scott City; three daughters, Rachel Rhodes of Scott City, Becky Oberts of McClure, Jackie Sinclair of Buffalo, S.C.; his mother, Dixie McCord of McClure; two brothers, Clyde Anglin of Cape Girardeau, Charles Anglin of McClure; a sister, Delores Brawley of Jonesboro, Ill., and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel here. The Rev. Frank Giunta will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
