SIKESTON -- Carl C. Clayton, 86, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Caruthersville, son of William Andrew and Maude Mae McBroom Clayton. He and Lydia Mae Gilooly were married Nov. 17, 1945, in Paragould, Ark.
Clayton was a heavy equipment mechanic 30 years at Fabick Equipment Co. He also had worked at Westvaco Paper Mill in Wickliffe, Ky.
He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ, and Engineers Local 513 in St. Louis.
Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Della Ferrenburg of East Prairie and Louella Hefner of Buffalo, N.Y.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery at Lilbourn.
