BERNIE, Mo. -- Cara M. Jones, 93, of Dexter, Mo., died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.
She was born on June 16, 1907, at Bernie, the daughter of Lon Jordan and Reaney Summers Jordan.
She married William Andrew Lunsford on Oct. 9, 1923, at Bloomfield, Mo. He died on Feb. 27, 1935.
She then married Gerald David Jones on Sept. 14, 1938, at Kennett, Mo. He died in January 1995.
She attended the White Oak General Baptist Church near Bernie.
Survivors include two sons, William Dayton Lunsford of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Junior Lunsford of Dexter; a daughter, Beulah James of Bernie; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Rainey Chapel.
The Rev. Joe Masters of Bernie will officiate. Burial will be in the Bernie Cemetery.
