MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Calvin Elson Volz, 86, of Marble Hill died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born July 17, 1936, in Allenville to George Franklin and Flora Asher Volz.
He and Linda Lou were married March 26, 1961, at Scott City.
Calvin proudly served in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a truck driver and was a member of First Baptist Church of Marble Hill.
Survivors include a daughter, Tracy Vines of Farmington, Missouri; son, Larry (Marilyn Schalk) Volz of Marble Hill; three granddaughters, Chelsea (Eric) Suttles, Nicole Schalk and Danielle Schalk; two great-grandsons, Easton Suttles and Jakob Schalk; two great-granddaughters, Amara Johnson and Kaelynn Johnson; brother, Sonny Volz of Oak Ridge; and three sisters, Jenny Hardgraves of Jackson, Loretta Wilson of Oak Ridge and Retha Lavena Morton of Jackson.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Lou Volz; great-granddaughter, Kylie Marie Suttles; four brothers, Elden Franklin, Eura Elvan, Kenneth Donald and Everret Volz; and five sisters, Dorothy Flora Volz, Wanda Lee Riebold, Lavada Daniels, Eulalia McCanless and Dolly Sawyer.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 31, at Ford and Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tim Zych officiating. Burial will be at Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery in Marble Hill.
