SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Calvin Bell of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. James Boston will officiate, with burial in Carpenter Cemetery at McMullin.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to service time.
Bell, 59, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1992, at the VA Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Feb. 23, 1933, at Dorena, son of Charlie and Kattie B. Ray Bell. He and Sylvia Palmer were married Aug. 16, 1976, at Haywood City.
Bell was employed 30 years by Pinnell Hunter Farms, and served in Korea with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Bill Bell of Cape Girardeau, Calvin Bell of Little Rock, Ark., Charlie Bell of the home; two daughters, Vanessa Byrd of Texas, Diane Porter of Cape Girardeau; his father of Sikeston; a stepson, Tony Nickens of Sikeston; two stepdaughters, Laura Nickens and Christel Templeton of Sikeston; a brother, Carlin Bell of Fresno, Calif., and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
