Callie Allison Dockins, age 3 days, first daughter of Jamey and Dee Dee Sarff Dockins of Jackson, passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2003, at 2:30 p.m. at St. Louis Children's Hospital. Friends may call today, Jan. 26, between 4 to 7 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The funeral service will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a private graveside committal service. Dr. Derek Staples and the Rev. Raymond McAfee will officiate.
Callie was born Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis. Numerous complications made it necessary for her transport to St. Louis Children's Hospital, where she was surrounded by the tender love of her parents and the compassionate attention of many devoted doctors and nurses.
Loving survivors include her parents; her sister, Madalyn Dockins of Jackson; maternal grandparents, John and Carolyn Sarff of Jackson; paternal grandparents, Bruce and Donna Dockins of Jackson; maternal aunt, Laura Martin of Norfolk, Neb.; paternal aunt, uncle and niece, Christi, Rick and Rebecca Guilliams of Jackson; maternal great-grandmother, Juanita Sarff of Farmington, Mo.; and paternal great-grandparents, Phyllis and Richard Lewis, and Linda Malone, all of Jackson.
In Callie's memory, the family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Louis Children's Hospital Foundation, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, St. Louis Children's Hospital, One Children's Place, St. Louis, Mo. 63110.
