Caila E. Myklebust, 96, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at Monticello House in Jackson.
Born Oct. 12, 1904, in Emmett County Iowa, she was the daughter of Ben and Mary Erickson Hatland.
On Nov. 22, 1930, she was married to Chester G. Myklebust in Des Moines, Iowa. He died Aug. 4, 1992.
A homemaker, Myklebust moved to Cape in 1982 from Des Moines, where she had lived for 30 years.
She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Dorcas Church Circle.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan K. Dodd of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Helen Christiansen of Estherville, Iowa; two grandsons, Timothy M. Dodd and John D. Dodd, both of Cape Girardeau; and four great-grandchildren Thomas M. Dodd, Mary C. Dodd, Tatum E. Dodd and Riley E. Dodd, all of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robert Klein officiating. Burial will take place at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery.
