SIKESTON, Mo. -- Clarence Allen Carter, 61, of Sikeston died Saturday, June 14, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 13, 1942, in Sikeston, son of Earl and Lorama Miller Carter. He and Sandra Mason were married Dec. 20, 1973, at Charleston, Mo.
Carter was employed with Halliburton Co. many years. He was a member of Henry Meldrum American Legion Post 114, VFW Post 3174, and Eagles Aerie 3319.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Stephanie Casting of Sikeston; two stepsons, David Mason of Sterling, Alaska, Clayton Mason of Las Cruces, N.M.; his mother of Sikeston; a sister, Earletta Mullins of Lost Nation, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a half brother.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Barnhart officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
